Welcome! I'm a writer from Texas. I was locked by Imani Nash-Bey of Pomona, Ca 11-28-03. I had my Sisterlocks for about 8 years and cut them off in 2011. Currently in the process of growing my hair back and getting re-locked SOON! I'm an avid blogger and decided to share my locked growth process with easier access to the masses. If you enjoy reading 1st person narratives and looking at photos and some videos, then you'll enjoy my blog. *Please do not copy my pictures without my permission.*

Bantu Knots and length comparison
I'm experimenting with flickr and blogger, so I pulled this picture up of my bantu knots comparison in eleven months. Big difference, huh? I may just go ahead and knot em' up next weekend on the 29th so I can see a whole year's difference. With flickr you can email a post to your blogger account like you can with blogspot, picasa, photobucket, and others.

Wow! Your hair has grown quite a bit in a year. Can't wait for my hair to reach either one of those lengths.
I really enjoy following your journey because your locks are amazing! You wear them so well and they bring out your personality.
Hey Tanya,
Thanks!! Just hang in there. It will be there before you know it. I hadn't realized how much it had grown until I put both of the pictures together and I was like, WOW!!! It's so good when you document and take pics. The proof is in the picture. :-)
Dewdrop,
Thanks so much for your kind compliments. I tell you, I am truly much more free in my spirit without having all the hair care dramas I have experienced in the past. It's been more than a blessing!!
Wishing you both all the best on your journeys. Take care!! ;-)
