Welcome! I'm a writer from Texas. I was locked by Imani Nash-Bey of Pomona, Ca 11-28-03. I had my Sisterlocks for about 8 years and cut them off in 2011. Currently in the process of growing my hair back and getting re-locked SOON! I'm an avid blogger and decided to share my locked growth process with easier access to the masses. Runaway Love- Ludacris featuring Mary J. Blige
I heard this song in Walmart two nights ago and thought to myself, "interesting lyrics". My aunt mentioned it to me tonight and we pulled it up on youtube to check out the video. Many blessings to Ludacris and Mary J. Blige for putting this anthem project out. Here's an outlet for young girls to now speak out and speak up. Permission to tell the truth. Let the cleansing begin.

Enjoyed a lot watching the video. Thanx a lot for sharing it. I like the song too!!Emmie
He and Maryee performed it on the Grammy's recently. There can be healing through song, as long as the healing begins some way, some how. The song's impact reminds me of Pacs' "Brenda's Got a Baby." I know that Hip-Hop gets a bad wrap but Hip- hop speaks to everyday life for many young people and sometimes that's their only outlet.
Girl, that's the only slight problem with me not watching TV. Oh well, I'm glad the song has been shared and I hope it offers help to those women/girls in need. I saw the Grammy's video on youtube and was happy to see how the masses were able to receive insight on this social problem we're in. Thanks!
No outlet for the boys? Sigh....
That's an opportunity for you to create, don't you think?
